We offer a range of one-hour toolbox talks aimed at improving mental health and wellbeing both at home and at work, These ‘tool-box talks’ are a whistle stop tour through these ideas with some practical activities throughout the session. We will also provide handouts containing some of the information from the sessions with some practical ideas for implementing the ideas and tools discussed. We are more than happy to provide bespoke sessions based on your needs, some examples of the talks we have delivered include:
Sleep hygiene is the recommended behavioral and environmental practice that is intended to promote better quality sleep. Our ‘Night School’ toolbox talk will take you through the importance of sleep, the sleep cycle and discuss the ways you can improve your sleep. You’ll get some ‘top-tips’ for helping you achieve better sleep.
Flourishing in a changing workplace
The reasons behind lasting changes in people’s attitudes, values and behaviours towards health and healthy choices are complex and can be difficult to quantify. Research suggests that regular ‘top-ups’ can help encourage, maintain and boost the capacity of people to make healthy choices regarding health related behaviours. These bite size sessions are aimed at revisiting some of the tools and techniques taught at previous sessions. We will clarify what worked with people, what they ‘tried-out’ and blockages or what got in the way of their ability to carry out the activities.
We will introduce the PERMA (Positive emotions, Engagement, positive Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment) developed by Martin Seligman. The use of PERMA has been shown to support people in ‘flourishing’ both at work and in their personal relationships. We will outline the key principles within PERMA and encourage the adoption of the approaches suggested in Seligman’s work.

Paying more attention to the present moment – to your own thoughts and feelings and to the world around you can improve your mental wellbeing. Our toolbox talk session will provide you with a range of strategies that you can choose from to add mindfulness to your daily life.
The Five Ways to Wellbeing
Drawing on the work of the New Economic Foundation and the Foresight Commission this session allows participants to experience the Five Ways to Wellbeing and explore how these can be incorporated into everyday life.
